Boranup Forest Ride

Boranup, Western Australia, Australia

This is one of the prettiest ride in the region. The route travels through the spectacular karri forest of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. The karri trees, with their long pale trucks, grow up to 80 meters high and are the 3rd tallest type of tree in the world.

Over 24 km in length, the ride has several great sections of single track, follows some isolated dirt tracks and has a couple of sections on the gravel road of Boranup Drive where you may see a vehicle or two. The total elevation gain is about 300 meters, but most of the climbing is gentle. The riding suits all levels of fit riders. It is frequently shady and rarely sandy.
