*Please note that due to the construction of the new camping area at the old Jarrahdene Mill, this map is not 100% accurate around Jarrahdene Road. We will re-map the route upon completion of the campground in early 2018.
The map (in the photo, not the map tab) shows the first 56 kilometres of a beautiful track that runs for 116 kilometres from Conto Beach to the town of Nannup. The majority of the track follows forestry roads, winding through Karri and Jarrah forests, with some wetlands and farmland. The track parallels and intersects the Blackwood River for many kilometres, offering river access in several places. It suits hiking, mountain biking and horse riding, plus access for canoeing and kayaking.
Note that a few kilometres at the beginning of the track are off limits to mountain bikers and horse riders. Most of the track is within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste and Forest Grove National Parks.
The route is long and complex. Our free Margaret River Find the Fun App shows the full 116 km route from the Coast to Nannup. It has detailed maps that are annotated with route details and information on where to camp. The App works without the internet, which is very important because there is no mobile coverage for large sections of the trail. Use the App and your phone’s GPS and you’ll easily be able to navigate the route and never get lost.
